Am 20. Mai fand erstmalig der Art Walk Tulln an der Donaulände statt. Bei wunderbarem Wetter und regem Interesse der Besucher. Es war ein interessantes Experiment für mich, Kunst Menschen näher zu bringen, die sonst keinen Zugang dazu zu haben. Dafür gewählt habe ich eine Installation mit Malerei & Fotografie zum Thema Wasser - die Donau ist dort nur wenige Meter entfernt.
On May 20, the Art Walk Tulln took place for the first time at the Donaulände. The weather was wonderful and the visitors were very interested. It was an interesting experiment for me to bring art closer to people who otherwise have no access to it. For this I have chosen an installation with painting & photography on the theme of water - the Danube is there only a few meters away.
The Art of Water
Wasser. Der Mensch besteht daraus aus nahezu achtzig Prozent. Lebenselixier. Wasser ist ein Menschenrecht. Nicht alle haben Zugang zu sauberem Trinkwasser. Wie nutzen WIR das wertvolle Gut. Der Planet verliert immer mehr Wasser. Es ist unsere Lebensgrundlage. Können wir die Menschheit noch retten? Oder ist es eine Utopie?
Die Künstlerin hat sich in diesem Werk genau mit diesen Fragen auseinandergesetzt. Das Kunstwerk „Utopie“ ermahnt zum Nachdenken. Das gemalte Pferd im Schwefelregen stellt einen Querverweis auf die Apokalyptischen Reiter in der Offenbarung (Bibel) dar. Die Fotografien sind unterschiedliche Aufnahmen von Wasser in einem Swimmingpool. So wird die Verbindung und das kritisch künstlerische Hinterfragen nach dem Wie mit dem Umgang des Wassers hergestellt.
The Art of Water
Water. The human being consists of almost eighty percent of it. Elixir of life. Water is a human right. Not everyone has access to clean drinking water. How do WE use this valuable resource. The planet is losing more and more water. It is our basis of life. Can we still save humanity? Or is it a utopia?
The artist has addressed precisely these questions in this work. The artwork "Utopia" admonishes to think. The painted horse in the sulfur rain represents a cross-reference to the Apocalyptic Horsemen in Revelation (Bible). The photographs are different shots of water in a swimming pool. Thus, the connection and the critical artistic questioning of how to deal with the water is established.
